FLINT, MI – Although BluFish Consulting is local to Marshall, their presence did not go unnoticed in Flint at the American Advertising Federation’s Greater Flint ADDY Awards held on Friday, February 24th. Marking the 40th anniversary of the event, BluFish was the agency of the night when their creative excellence was recognized with a total of 18 awards, including 2 of 3 Best of Show awards, 6 Gold ADDYs and 10 Silvers.
“We were absolutely blown away with the awards and support received tonight,” stated BluFish owner and creative manager, Ryan Traver. “We love attending the ADDY Awards each year to see the best-of-the-best work created by our peers. It’s inspiration for us to strive to become even better with each passing year. This year was no exception. But 18 awards and 2 best of shows? That’s a personal best for our agency which makes me very happy.”
BluFish won awards on behalf of work created for 7 different clients across 12 separate categories. AAF Greater Flint awarded a total of 58 ADDYs throughout the evening, and also inducted John Koegel and Koegel Meats into the Hall of Fame.
Also in attendance at the awards gala was BluFish project manager, Erica Eash, who worked on the majority of the award-winning accounts. Eash said, “We put a lot of effort into creating really great work for our clients and we hold ourselves to pretty high standards. So to be recognized on this level, with this many awards, is really fulfilling because it demonstrates that other professionals in our industry recognize our quality of work as well. None of this would be possible though without our clients who trust us to do great work for them.”
The American Advertising Awards (AAA) are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions where the coveted ADDY® AWARD is handed out. The mission of the AAA competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY® Awards is the first of a three-tiered, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 15 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the National American Advertising Awards competition.
