Marshall, MI – BluFish Consulting recently won three ADDY awards for work completed on behalf of Mott Community College in Flint, MI. BluFish received two gold awards for the “Mott Strong” internet and regional/national TV campaign, in addition to a Judges Choice award for the regional/national TV campaign. The campaign was composed of three separate commercials that demonstrate the College’s commitment to reducing barriers for students, completion rates, and the work that they do to support the community. Since the regional/national TV campaign received a gold award, it will advance to the next level of the ADDY award competition.
“We have worked with Mott Community College for several years now, and we’ve seen firsthand how committed they are to the success of their students and to improving the community,” Erica Eash, Assistant Account Executive/Project Manager, said. “These commercials are a great reflection of the College. We’re really proud of how they turned out and we had a feeling they would perform well at the ADDY awards. We’re thrilled to be honored by our peers with a Judges Choice award while also having the opportunity to compete at the district level.”
In addition to the ADDY awards, BluFish was also recently honored by the Healthcare Advertising Awards for work completed on behalf of Oaklawn Hospital. BluFish received two gold awards, one for the “Santa Baby” broadcast commercial and one for the Laser Hair Removal billboard completed for Oaklawn Medical Group – Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
“In 2019, we put out some really creative work for Oaklawn,” Ryan Traver, BluFish Owner, said. “From Santa holding newborns in the Birth Center to a hairy back on a billboard, the award-winning work was both fun and memorable. We’re happy that we were able to help Oaklawn pull in some gold awards this year!”
Winning awards year-after-year requires a lot of hard work and a solid team effort. “For every piece of great work that we put out, there’s an amazing team of individuals behind it,” Traver said. “Each of these projects are made possible by excellent contributions from our project managers, copywriters, art directors, videographers, and editors. We consider ourselves very blessed.”
The American Advertising Awards (AAA) are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions where the coveted ADDY® AWARD is handed out. The mission of the AAA competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY® Awards is the first of a three-tiered, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 15 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the National American Advertising Awards competition.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest and most widely respected healthcare advertising awards competition. The awards are sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, the leading publication covering all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising and strategic business development. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
