With stunning air shows, hot air balloons, a carnival, live entertainment and amazing firework displays, the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival is typically a feature summer event for many people in the area. However, things looked different this July with the cancellation of this year’s event due to COVID-19. BluFish Consulting, a long-time supporter of this event, helped Field of Flight make it through this difficult season with one of its BluFish Gives Back donations.
“Just because this year’s event was cancelled, doesn’t mean that there aren’t still expenses involved. The Field of Flight team has been working on planning this year’s event since July 2019, so a lot of work had already been put into it before the difficult decision was made to cancel it,” said Ryan Traver, President/Owner of BluFish. “This is a family-friendly event that is a summer staple for many people, so we wanted to help make sure that this year’s hardships don’t impact next year’s event.”
“I do not have enough words to say about the generous donation Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival received from BluFish Consulting,” said Barb Haluzska, Executive Director. “With our event being cancelled, that also meant no revenue. Thank you BluFish for your continued support!”
Currently, the 2021 Field of Flight is scheduled from June 30th – July 4th and will hopefully feature all of the things that people have come to love about the event. “This year has been a tough one for a lot of people, but we’re hopeful that in 2021 we will be on the other side of this and once again able to celebrate the 4th of July together,” Traver said. “We can’t wait to get back out there!”
